well the way i see it, the late speculation about G80 proved to be reliable, as did the speculation surrounding C2D, so if its same with AMD/ATI i think there well on course to beating there two rivals, R600 looks to be techologically superior to G80 (rumours, whispers and speculation i know) and K8L looks like a MASSIVE revision of K8, with four cores, a boatload more floating point performance, far more aggressive pre-fetching, HT3.0 as well as tons of other revisions (great reading if your interested)
