ATI r700

Ugh, I hate speculation so much. It just gets idiots riled up for nothing.

The only thing anyone should ever believe at this stage is that it will probably be called the X3900.

Maybe they will give it 320 stream processors capable of doing 5 operations or w/e you call it like the 64*5 on the HD2900XT, also maybe it may run lower latency GDDR4 memory clocked at 2.4Ghz and maybe bump the ROP's up to 24 or 32.

I dont think the R700 will be 4 times more powerfull than a 9800GTX, I just hope they come out at the same time, I hope the R700 price will be competitive too.

I reckon this could all turn out like the 2900 cards.

I hope for ATi and our sake that it doesn't, as would like to see some good old fashioned competition.

I really think there was only really 2 things wrong with r600, it was amazingly late (yet again) and the fps hit when using fsaa. r700 should get them back on track, that is assuming they can for once get the new core out without many delays.

I miss the days of reading reviews of the new nvidia and the new ati cards with the space of a few days between them, now its literally 6months between those kinds of reviews.

hmmmm, probably going to fail terribly again lol, and again, the lower range of the g90's being used as benchmarkc comparison against them.... and the high d g90's being untouchable lol

3 things, I would add the power use as well to the things wrong with it.
