My 6970 keeps crashing after playing a game for awhile. I can't tell if it's overheating. I know it runs at about 80 degrees in-game, but that isn't enough to cause it to crash, is it?

have you OC'd the card atall? my 5870 crashes if i turn up the vram by even just 5mhz :/

Yeah, I OC'd the card up to 950MHz (It was at 890 when I got it) and that's when it started crashing, so I underclocked the card back to 890Mhz. I don't understand how an extra 60MHz's can cause it to crash like that.

is it possable to up the voltage with your card? (dont rush in and 'up it' if you dont know 100% what your doing though)

It may be just that you have a card that won't clock that well unfortunately.

I wouldn't push the volts too high as it won't make that much difference to performance.

Think default clock is 880MHz on the 6970 anyway so it the manufacturer has added a slight overclock anyway.

Just increase it by 5-10MHz at a time until it crashes on something like Furmark and then back down a notch.
