Ok, a few days ago i received a ATI Radeon 9250 (PCI Version):

Fitted it, installed all the ATI hardware etc, but it dosent work, i mean it dosent boost my graphics ingame, fps etc.

Is this because its such a crap card or has anyone had the same problem and can see where ive gone wrong?

My Spec:

CPU 2.8GHZ

Memory 734 mb

37gb Harddrive

I know its crap, but it hasnt boosted anything its even worse than the standard graphics card i had originally - which i dont know the name of sorry.

Will do.

Is it true that the speed of the connection of the internet affects the graphics card?

No way at all. Only when your playing online games and you get lag, but thats nothing to with the graphics card.

PCI is dire for gaming, I take it you don't have an AGP (brown) slot?

Yeah i was just looking at them.

But yeah i probley might get a new motherboard like you said.

But which is better for cards PCI Express or AGP.

PCIE. AGP is a dying format now, so the cards will be way more expensive for the performance they offer compared to PCIE :)

If you want the best PCI card you can get a 6200 on PCI

Don't touch the MX or FX series cards - they are very very slow. Slower than the 9250 by some margin

You can get the 9800pro for under £40, certainly not bad and better than any pci-e card at that price range I would bet. The asrock dual sata 2, one of the cheapest 939 boards about £40 supports agp and pci-e and am2.

Good point, forgot about that exception. I used to have a 9800pro and it was definatly nippy. Pair it up with the motherboard and you're all set for future upgrades :)
