The Black Edition shouldn't have problems with Windows 7. You may need to go and download the latest version from the XFX Support website rather than using the disc.

If you still get problems e-mail XFX and they should be able to resolve the problem.

The card is so expensive you get an option to take a loan out for it! Madness!

Not sure why anyone would need a card as powerful as this right now though.

You could say that about pretty much anything though. You don't need a 50" TV, but having one is nicer than having a 32". There are systems that will get a decent boost from this card, and there is certainly enough benchmarks around to show that it is appreciably faster than the competition.

It's a "waste of money" buying anything bleeding edge really.

I was holding off buying one myself for a while figuring the exorbitant prices were just early day gouging but they've been £500+ since release now with no sign of supply meeting demand. People are buying them, ridiculous prices or not. People who do buy these cards can at least consol themselves in the knowledge that £500-ish is the price of admission for everyone.
