What do people think of this card? i need a replacement as my 9800pro died, i dont really game, i think iv played 2 games in the 2 years so i want something that will run the odd game.

I will be using it on a PC running a widescreen monitor at 1440 x 900 screen res

I would like to stick with ATI cards as i have had a better experience all round with these over NVidia.

I need an AGP card with a £50-£60 budget that will allow me to play the odd game

You can get new AGP 6600 GTs (an upgrade, pretty small one but still an upgrade) for under £50, AGP 7600 GS (quite a bit bigger upgrade) for a little over £70. The X1300 Pro is a downgrade to what you have and the X1600 Pro sucks too (though it is quite a bit better than an X1300 Pro and wouldn't be much of a downgrade).

The low end ATI cards aren't very good I'm afraid, the X1650 Pro sucks on AGP too (though it isn't that bad on PCI-E), the decently competitive ones start around £90 (on PCI-E), as the X1650 XT is comparable performance to the 7600 GT and the X1950 Pro (on AGP and PCI-E) is pretty competitive and decent value.

Your best bet imo is to buy a second hand X800 / 6800 series card.

I am using one atm.

Pros:
Works well in Windows including Vista
Can be Crossfired without need for master card, just get two X1300's
Mine is passive cooled
Plays UT2003 / 04 at 1920x1200 without stuttering

Cons:
Gets quite hot
No good for complex games like F.E.A.R. or Oblivion

Hope my comments help.

EDIT - Mine is not PRO, only the basic.

I have one;

adv:

dual link dvi
small, doesn't require power connector
can do 1280x1024 with details on med-low on recent games with good fps

dis:

the asus model has a stupid custom fan and layout
no auto thermal fan speed control
considering how small it is, it seems to generate quite a bit of heat from the small active heatsink.
