ATI Retail Brands

They're all the same really.

Personally I stay away from Powercolor as I had nothing but trouble with their RMA, but others have found them fine.

I'd just go for the cheapest and/or the one with the best features.

Cool, after searching around it seems HIS gets the thumbs up for RMA's where as there seems to be a lot of bad experiences with sapphire.

Sapphire are my brand of choice as they turned around my RMA in just 48 hours.

As I said, every company has their good and bad points.

awesome, its probably just that they are so popular that bad experiences show up more on line.

arnt Sapphire like the number one producer or something?

id go with Sapphire, for me HIS has given me nothing but trouble took them 13 weeks to send me back a new GFX when it was RMAed, fair enough it was a X1950 pro instead of my X1900 GT but still. Thing i dont get is they sent me back a Sapphire branded X1950 PRO lol ??? any ways id go for Sapphire

I wasn't impressed with HIS brand during 1950Pro era. Each box had a different combination of cables, none with the quoted completed set. Couldn't get an email reply out of them.

The three cards I went through all suffered from fan rattle. Didn't experience their RMA service, so don't know if they have a UK returns address or have to send card abroad.

Shame ATi don't have a BFG or EVGA style partner.

My IceQ Radeon X1650 Pro worked like a champ (and was a bargain at the time, too! £45 compared to the slightly slower 7600 GS cards which were going for £50+. :p) . 'Twas a shame I couldn't find an X1650 GT. Pff.

GeCube usually offers some pretty interesting products, too. They were one of the first vendors to ship 512MB 3850's at close-to 3870 clock speeds, and came with what looked like a very nice heatsink.

Count yourself lucky, took them around 2 months just to respond to one of my support emails. Even then it was the usual "we so velly solly" kind of emails i got back with broken english all over the show.
