what will the next big new card from ati be ? and is it all new archi. likw fermi is or just another rehash of the 4870 like the 5800 series?
 
the next big card with be so big you need to fit it in 10 cases!

it's going to be called colossus, and will as such be based on the supercomputer of old.

expect it to run at 3 gigahurtz!

probably the awaited 6950, 6970 and 6990, then next year in q1 theyre lowering the nm process to 28nm? so cards can start getting serious

Do you know when the 6950/6970 will be released? and how much will they cost?

I am waiting for them to be released until I but myself a new computer.:o
 
I googled 6970 news and found a site that said this....

"Just to clarify for our readers: The HD6970 is not aimed at the GTX580 price point and therefore will not perform to the same levels. We are fairly certain that it will be a stunning value for money solution however."

Is this right ? bit confused now i persummed the 6970 will be on par or better then the GTX580.
 
^^ umm reads like an nvidia press release
6970 is generally expected to be similar to 580, price maybe better though.
