my current set up is running gr8,plays all games on my 20" screen pretty much max settings, however im itching to upgrade my graphics card as im looking to get a 24" screen for xmas, money is a bit tight so i was thinking about goin to nvidia with the gtx 460 ,will nvidia cards run as smooth as ati does with my amd set up?

thanks for that bench, that helps me , also i was looking at improved graphics that the 460 will give me n also maybe 3d later on

As Krugger said, its not much of an uprade. Also if you want to do 3d gaming then you'll need a better card than the 460 and a 120hz monitor minimum.

No improved graphics I'm afraid. Those benches are with 4xAA applied and you can see the differences aren't that huge at all.

If I were you, I'd be looking for a second-hand HD5850/70 atm. They can be had for quite silly money these days.

Yeah ten year warranty and good resale value with it being EVGA. Every EVGA card I have had has clocked real well so I'm sticking with them for the future.
