ATI Tool overclock video problem

I have been having been having a go at overclocking my X1800XT for the past few days (I have overclocked before) and graphics wise its stable at 730/830

However when it comes to watching a video (either with VideoLAN, WMP or Winamp) the screen just goes black and the system locks. I thought this was a GFX card problem so lowered the speeds but still had the problem.

Anyway reinstalled the drivers, uninstalled ATI Tool and rebooted and the problem went, I can now watch Videos. So I am left with the following :-

System boots up without ATI Tool and I can watch any video
I load ATI Tool and I cant watch videos
I load ATI Tool and then close it, still cant watch Videos

Any ideas? Doesnt matter if its overclocked or not with ATI Tool, as soon as I load it I can't view videos.

Apparently thats an issue with ATITool, something to do with the DirectX VA codec interferring with the clocking aspect of ATITool.

Or so I read over at the beta forum....
