Hi
I am trying to overclock my 2900XT using ATI Tool 0.27, but every time i load it up i get a message saying The kernel Mode driver does not seem to be running.
A device driver is required for communicating with your video hardware.

And ATI tool doesnt detect my clock speeds.
Does anyone know how to solve this ?

I am using vista 64 if this helps.
Thanks

u need to disable signature enforcement

To disable signature enforcement checks on startup:

1) Restart your computer

2) During startup, press F8.

3) Select Advanced Boot Options.

4) Select Disable Driver Signature Enforcement.

The only problem is now though every time i want to use ATI tool i have to keep disabling signature enforcement every time i start my pc.
Is there a way to permanently disable this ?

Since the performance updates in vista there is no way to permantely disable driver signing.

BUT

the author of ATI Tool has got driver signing approvment from Microsoft so hes building this into his next release so you wont need to do the f8 bootup anymore. Shouldnt be too long until he releases this.

Now that i can use ATI tool im having another problem :(
Every time i try to overclock it by moving the core and memory bars they automatically reset themselves.
And if i tell it to find the max settings i get a message saying that theres not enough power and my card has been put on minimum settings.
My power supply is a ATRIX 650W Blue Transparent, it has got one 6 pin pci-e
connector and i am also using an Akasa PCI Express 6-Pin to 4-Pin Power Adaptor.
