is there any way you van control gpu fan with this software, any help appreciated thanks

ATI Tray Tools you mean? I've just looked and I can't see an option to do so. You could however underclock the graphics card which would use make it use less energy thus less heat produced thus fan doesn't need to spin as fast.

Or just get something like Speedfan and you should be able to control the fan speed that way.

^^nope, there is actually some software called ati tool as well.

i think both can change your fan speed - if your card is supported. i don't have either installed at the moment but i'm sure the options have been there when i've used them previously.

cant find the option so dont think a gts 640 is supported

try posting in the gfx card forum. they'll know all the latest stuff for controlling your nvidia card.

I think you can use Rivatuner to change the fan speeds.
