ATI tray tools?

Ok, I've reformatted, and instead of going for the Omega drivers, I've gone for the latest catalysts (without all that CCC crap), and Ati tray tools.

Now, the amount of options and tweeks is overwhelming...

All I need it do to is run low clocks when in 2D, and a mild overclock when in 3D. I used to do this with ATItool... Would I be better off going back to atitool?

Does any one have any beginners guides or links about ATT? I've tried googling, and most of the stuff I get ain't really relevent.

EDIT: Forgot to mention... I'm using a 9800XT - old school!
