I presumed it was just the latest cats drivers but at 29.3mb and dated April I can only presume not.

Any ideas what it is please?

Update to the Windows WHQL ATI drivers. Usually lag ATI drivers by some months.

No not really.

But my mate just mentioned that it's an important compatibility fix for Win 7 and the 5800 cards

Wasn't convinced hence why I asked in here.

Nah it's just an update to the ones on the install disk for people that don't download drivers. Probably the ones that add support for the 6xxx series.
