Ati Vista resolution problems?

Is anyone haveing any resolution problems with the latest 8.10 driver on a 4870 x 2? i start a game up in 1900 x x 1200 then the resolution reduces to 800 x 600 thats the desktop resolution? i try to switch back but it dosent want to go back to 1900 x 1200 i have to reboot then its back to normal resolution?

Im on vista 64 bit,....

yes i had this problem.
i think in ccc you need to go into the DIGITAL PANEL overview
in the image scaling bit check the SCALE IMAGE TO FULL PANEL SIZE and in the dvi settings check the ALTERNATE DVI OPERATION MODE. you just need them 2 checked, nothing else.
i had the exact same problem with 8.8 drivers. I had another member here "WILLHUB" send me a pic of his ccc setting as he is using the exact same spec as me, MOBO, PROCESSOR, GFX CARD. I entered the exact same setting he has ( as above ) and my screen has never reverted back to a lower resolution than what its set to.
hope this helps, it did sort my problems with resolutions

Its a stupid problem evan bl*ddy dose it with the 8.11 beta drivers
