Hi all
Ive been asked to test a card for someone as they are hoping the problems they are having with the card is compatibility and not the card itself
They had a NVIDIA mb chipset running the ATI X1900XT 512mb card and reported that whenever any driver was installed, windows would not start...it would get past the splash screen then the monitor would go "no signal", not sure if windows is booting or now
Now I just got the Gigabyte P965-DS3 with the Intel chipset and everything was going well, but now has just got random.
It was working fine at first, with the drivers. Then after a restart (after nothing changed) my hard drive disappeared off the GSATA port, and windows would boot (same as reported by friend). I swapped the hard disk over to the Intel port and booted again...same
I did a system restore to before the catalyst install and it booted again. Installed catalyst...dead again
Removed catalyst drivers again and installed omega drivers, still not working. Then it was late and i went to bed
Next morning i just tried booting it and it was fine.....even a few restarts and its still working fine. Although I am half expecting it to mess up again so im trying not to restart it as much as possible
Any ideas?
