Hi all…..

I just received my Ati x1950pro agp today; my previous card was an Ati x800xt. Removed Drivers version 6.12 in safe mode using driver’s cleaners. Ready to install Ati x1950pro agp and Ati driver version 6.11 judging by the forum. I notice that my pc sometime will not post. (Once in every eight) .

The psu is a hyper 525watts my 12 volt rails is 29 amp I am not sure is this enough juice and yes I am using 2 Molex independent can anyone help.

Thank

Ninjah

That should be more than enough juice, however theres always the prospect the PSU is playing up. Best to wait for someone with a better idea first though.

Thanks all

Just to let you know that it still not posting for the first time and I may invest or borrow a psu sometime today. I just plug in my old card and it post every time.
See sig just updated maybe to many devices.

PS.... Hope it’s not my new x1950pro at fault.

Evening all

Just proven that my old psu did not have enough juice, thank to Alexrose.
I bought a new psu (Hyper type R 580 watts) and it post evertime.

Must have been a faulty PSU then, as thats more than enough for an x1950 pro, im running a more power hungry x1800 XT 512mb on a 520w PSU with a single 12v rail rated at just 20amps. :)

Glad you finally got it up and running though, cracking cards them.

You sure thats 05, thats either some serious bottleneck you got going on there, or you havn't got the settings set up right as i get just under 10k in 05 with my x1800 XT, and on my old 3500+ i got about 8.5k.

Hi.........LoadsaMoney

what is the perfect setup for 3Dmark05.
I only use games 1 to 3 setting and 1,2 for cpu testing for 3dmark 05.
Please qoute setting including ati drivers (ver 6.12) and I'ill try later see if any difference.

Btw..... x1950 not overclocked @ moment.

Thank

Ninjah

You set all sliders to the left in the CCC, and have AA/AF ticked for let the application decide, and v-sync off, if your not running all the tests though then that might be right if thats the full version you have there of 05, i only use the demo and run the default tests it selects. :)

Yo.....all

3Dmark05 9542 with all test selected this must be a good a result considering my Ati x1950pro not overclocked yet.

Out of curiosity. If i get this card. How can i make it use both of the rails on my dual rail psu. How do u know which wire is for which rail etc. As i would have to do this i think to get this to work on mine. I always presumed that you just use the end of each molex leads so lets say one of the leads with 4 molex on is rail 1 and the other lead with the other 4 molexs is the other rail. Probably not true but thats what i heard once i think.
