im having problems with the brightness in css specifically, in areas that are dark e.g the tunnel in cs_italy near terrorist spawn its well dark, infact i cant even see ct's most of the time, and if i do its too late :( :o
any ideas?
p.s. already tried ingame gamma ;)
 
Are you sure it's related to the graphics card? Whenever I've come across brightness issues its always been a failing of the monitor, rather than the card.

I've never had to adjust a graphics card's brightness, just the in-game settings and the monitor.

Maybe you are using a cheap TFT which will have poor black display anyway?

lol, nah its a CRT, a xiod 29cl17 which is supposed to be made by samsung, but i've yet to find any drivers etc for it.
how would you know when its failing? as americas army seems to be fine, but i think a few ghost recon advanced warfighter videos i downloaded are abit dark :(
it couldnt be interference could it?
