Atikmdag error

Ok so when im playing games, my screen goes black for 5-9 seconds then flickers back to gameplay. When i exit the game i get an error saying "Display driver atikmdag stopped responding and has successfully recovered"

Ive looked around google but carnt seem to find anything. I will keep looking but i thought i would post her aswell.

Anyone else had this error?

I get this when running two monitors. Search again it's a common problem with Vista (guessing this bit) and not just ATI cards.

Just uninstalled a windows update that apparently fixes it, will test soon.

had the problem too at some stage, partucaly after noob(me) here didn't do a clean install of his drivers >_>

easy enough to sort never done it again

Are you oc'ing the card ?? (i bios flash my overclocks and had this when i went a tad too far)

If so then drop settings down a bit at a time until the cards stable

If not oc'ing ignore the above
