AtiTool OC'ing reaching huge clocks

Hi,

Looks like im back here for some help again. :p I got AtiTool last night and i was experimenting trying to reach different memory clocks, i have hit a max core of 740 (1.475volts) but have not hit my max mem clocks yet (so far 810). Im having trouble loading a profile with the new voltages and memory clocks from yesterday. My core speed has been left at 625 so i can find my max mem, which, so far, has no artifacts when left with RTHDRIBL and the AtiTool left running for an hour. Any ideas? Do i have to run my new volts 24/7 so that AtiTool just changes the clocks when i load profiles over? Or am i doing something else wrong

Hi,

Hmm i chose to use AtiTool because everyone else seems to use it and get great results. I have just tried playing css with my new mem clocks (625/810) for about half an hour, didnt notice any kind of distortion or artifacts. My stress test fps went up by 10 fps.

Its all going great except that i cant load the same clocks and voltages from a profile, i have to do it all manually every time

Hi again :p sorry to keep spamming my own thread lol, but i have just found out that the switch between profiles is fine if the voltages are kept the same but the clocks are changed :D

Can someone please verify that these voltages are ok for 24/7:
Core: 1.475
MVDDC: 2.050
MVDDQ: 2.050
VVDCI: 1.563

Temps on core never exceed 45c, temps for voltage regulators are always less than 95 even after hard gaming.

So basically you cant change voltages on AtiTool within swapping/loading profiles? You have to keep them the same? I would rather run lower voltages in 2d mode you see so thats why im asking...

Cyber-Mav, thats a huge ass heatsink!

For now i have screwed 92mm fan ontop of my x-fi, looks good and has cooled my ram from 50 under load to 42. VRMs are now from 90 to 72. Should be ok, but im still gonna put the heatsink back on with thermal paste

Im testing stability using RTHDRIBL and the ATITool "scan for artifacts" at the same time for a few hours. Then i game with it a bit, did 4 hours last night with no problems.

Temps are 45 load on core, 44 for "temperature monitor probe" (whatever that is) and 65 for the VRM's

Cyber mav, what kind of volts are you using to get your memory to 855? Im interested in hitting 900 with my mem, as iv seen quite a few guys manage it.

Thanks

What happens when you can't get any further?

Checkerboard?

If so then thats it, wont go any further (mem controller not up to it)
No the screen just freezes, artifacts, and i have to hard reset

Everytime i scan this forum i always read the title of this thread as 'ATiTool OC'ing reaching huge clocks' (but clocks without the 'L'). :D
Dirty boy lol :p

put those same clocks into coolbits, test them and apply that should set them
