Atom D510 - What LAN performance do you get?

Evening all!

I've just put together a SFF build as a server and media PC, but I'm not sure if the gigabit ethernet is performing as it should. In both large and small files transfers I'm shifting about 20mb/s (160mbit/sec), while the server shows low CPU load (under 20%) and low hard drive activity. I've used a 3rd PC to confirm that I need to point the finger at the SFF, I was just wondering if this is expected performance or not? On my other machines I tend to get 50mb/s+.

It's a Realtek 8111 if that's any help!

Solved! In case anyone finds this thread in the future, the culprit is the way that XP prioritises network transfers when it is being used as a server. The fix is to head into the System tab of the Control Panel, then Advanced, and make sure that the cache is set for System Cache. Reboot, and hey presto! Shifting at 70mb/s now .
