Having been a passenger in an entry spec Atom.. this thing will be incredible!
It's a shame it's a flat-plane engine, and revving so high! ...it won't have much of a typical V8 character with an engine like that, needs to be cross-plane with half the rev limit.
What they 'should' have done is stick a Chevvy small block in there and stuck a super-charger on it. Much, much cheaper to

Are you serious?
What about the Ferrari 458 Italia? The V8 in that red lines at 9k rpm doesn't it?
A low revving burbly (and I know exactly the characteristic you mean by this) V8 would have not suited this car at all imo.
