ATRAC codec for Winamp

I downloaded and installed an ATRAC codec for Winamp off the minidisc.org forums, and since then it JUST!!!! KEEPS!!!! CRASHING!!!!!!

Worse of all, it's doing it even when I'm not playing any ATRAC files, really annoying! Is there no alternative codec that'll offer Winamp support for ATRAC without totally ruining it?

Are you sure its the latest version? Have you asked on the minidisc forums fi anyone else has had the same problem?

Well, it was the only version on those forums... I didn't think to ask there because I assumed that they'd all be using THAT codec (because if there was a better one they knew of, they wouldn't be hosting the buggy one on their ftp), I thought to ask here in case anyone knew of a different, bug-free codec.

I'll post on there to ask but I doubt they'll be able to help me, since there's nothing configurable about it and no installation was involved, just copying the .dll into the \Winamp\Plugins directory, so there's nothing there I can "fix".

Does no-one here use Winamp as their player and has managed to get ATRAC files working on it without it crashing all the time?

I use Winamp but don't use ATRAC. It might be worth googling to see what else you can find.
