Attaching a hard drive using blu tack

Hello,

I bought a new hard drive but currently I am poor and cannot afford a new case, my old case is a bit crap and only has 2 hard drive slots which are already full so I have put little bits of blu tack on the bottom of the hard drive and placed it on the base of the case...

Obviously this is not ideal but I have no other choice, can anyone tell me if this could cause any damage to my nice new hard drive? I guess not unless the blu tack gets into the cracks or the hard drive physically touches the bottom of the case?

Pretty low budget, ghetto solution I know but I cannot afford a new case ATM.

Would it get damaged with the blu tak going near that PCB on the bottom / getting into the cracks or the hard drive possibly touching the base of the case?

If you place the blu-tak on the corners of the hard drive it will be fine.
