Attaching a monitor to the side of a PC Case

I have a server that I lug round to various small LAN's that we have. its just a Athlon x2, 2gb ram and a HDD, housed in a rather unattractive beige case.

However its got 2 x gigabit LAN ports and does what we need to do perfectly. I know I can use VNC to access it and whatnot, but sometimes we just need to run it off its own monitor (BlackOps rcon being an example)

So, has anyone ever attached a monitor to the side of a PC case? This one in particular is made from quite thick steel (typical old beige case style). Was thinking of attaching it to the motherboard side, so if I do need to dive inside it I dont need to think about the monitor.

Size of the monitor is only going to be a 15" or 17" TFT.

Just wondering if anyones got any ideas on the best way of doing this....

There's no reason why this isn't completely doable... If the stand can be FULLY removed (so the rear is near-perfectly flat) maybe it could be done with some ultra-strong velcro so it can be removed easilly if needed...

Was thinking Velcro but I honestly dont think its going to be strong enough...unless someone knows of some super strong extra wide / thick velcro!

You could bolt it through the panel. 100x100mm assuming the monitor has it.

Incidently, I bought a bare screen from someone on this MM about 3 years ago, even got the panel cut out, just never had the time to finish off the mod! All it needs is mounting holes drilled, and the brackets drilled and tapped. Might finish it one day!
