I've had a couple of people send me video files from their iPhone or iPad today via icloud but the email I receive (on a Windows machine using thunderbird and also on the VM webmail site as well) is blank apart from the obligatory "Sent from my iPhone/iPad". When one of them then resent it from their mac there was no problem - I got a "Click to Download" link as expected.
I'm guessing that the iOS mail software is defaulting using some internal Apple way of sending attachments via iCloud that only other iCloud users see ... is there something "special" that they need to do send attachments in a way that non-Apple users can see?
Thanks for any enlightenment
Ps further info - just realized that I do have an iCloud account using my email address as username (I think I set this up for iTuines years ago) so maybe this is being recognized and I'm assumed to be part of the Apple eco-system
