I currently had Windows XP installed on my computer. Using Acronis Disk Director I, created a 30gb partition to try and install Windows 7 on just for fun and to see whats its like.

Thall all worked well, so I restarted the system and installed windows 7 on to the new partition After restarting again, I get given the option of choose Windows 7 or XP. However, this is where the problems start. If I select Windows XP, its comes up with an error saying it cannot be loaded due to a missing file.

Selecting Windows 7 works, however the opertating system cannot even see the C partition where XP was installed. At the moment I'm sort of locked into Windows 7 with it only seeing Windows 7 as a 30gb partition. The other 470gb seems to have disappaeared somewhere.

Any help would be good.

Put the XP disk in..
Boot from CD/DVD then when given the option choose to repair an installation...

Now I can't remember... lol

You will come to a point where you have a cmd promt..
type..
fixboot [Enter]
and/or
fixmbr [Enter]

Someone may explain it better than me..

May well overwrite the Disk director boot options though.

:)
