Attempting to fix laptop

Not sure on make etc as of yet, but im pretty sure i know whats wrong.

Problem - Keeps turning itself off. When i had the laptop last, the fan was making an awful loud noise, so i think its broke, overheating and turning off.

Fix - A new cpu fan.

Question - What size are the fans inside a Laptop. Are they different sizes like in a PC.

99.9% of the time the fan will be custom to the laptop in terms of size/frame/fitment, they're not standard PC-type fans.

So, i cant just order the same size from OCUK and screw it on?

Almost definately not, unfortunately

Heres an example... just the first image when googling 'laptop fan'. They're all unique and almost always specific to the very laptop model.

May still be worth removing the fan and removing any dust/hair/crap buildup inside it though, or you may be able to source a cheap replacement if you get hold of the part number.
