I'm looking to shift an old PC into a new HTPC style case, mainly because the old case (NZXT M59) doesn't exactly fit the aesthetic of the living room. I like the idea of the SilverStone Grandia's but really not sure which direction to go in with this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I currently have an ASUS P7P55LX, i5 750 with a Hyper 212 EVO cooler along with a GTX1070.

I've had a 1070 in a Silverstone GD09b. You will need a low profile cooler though. Currently the case mentioned houses a full ITX board, 600w psu, i5 6600k @ 4.2ghz, 16gb ddr4, ssd, 3tb wd black and a KFA 2060. The cooler I cant remember the name of but it's big a does a good job. Its sat under the tv and used for games, movies and whatever else.

Cooler is be quiet shadow rock.

For those wondering the same, I managed to fit it all into a Kolink K1 Inspire quite nicely, it now sits in my TV unit under the telly.

I'm planning on getting this case for a similar HTPC build as you, re-using my 4770k.

Question based on your experience with the case - would it be possible to fit a Corsair H60i V1 in it?

Maybe but the H60 radiator would have to on the left hand side if you are looking at the case from the front which is the same side as the PSU and the tubes need to be long enough to reach the CPU. There isn't enough room for the rad on the right hand side because of the gap between the edge of the motherboard and the case. If that makes sense? There is some pics on Google images of how people have fitted water cooling to the case. 1 with the rad as I stated and a few others with the rad on the left hand side but it is fitted outside the case with the fan inside the case.

I use a Shadowrock cooler with 92mm fan, it's plenty quiet enough for watching movies and what not and when gaming I have headset on most the time.

Here's the build with the water cooling https://techbuyersguru.com/chris-extreme-4k-gaming-htpc

Thanks for your answer bud.

Might be tight - i'll give it a try and if not that Shadowrock cooler looks a good bet!

Does your 1070 play games at 4k? I'm not expecting anything above medium settings and will mostly be used just for indy games.

I don't have a 4k TV and I don't have a 1070 anymore. One thing about the 1070 you have to check the height. I had an EVGA 1070 SC or something card which was no higher than the mounting bracket. Prior to that I had a Zotac card which was too high and I couldn't fit the top of the case on due to the power connector sticking up too much. Now I have a KFA2 2060 in there. You can get the measurements from the Silverstone website. On top of that they are pretty **** for cable management too but you can do a half decent job tidying up the cables.

For the keyboard and mouse setup I use a wireless Corsair K63 with lapboard, G602 mouse and Arctis 7 headset.

Maybe a taller gfx card would work with a right angled power connector if there is such a thing? Just an after thought tbh.

Good looking build especially given the size constraints.

I'll bear that in mind re: height of the card.

My plan was to go Corsair for peripherals and also go the lapboard route.
