ATX power help !!!

All of the new powere supplies have an "ATX 12v V2.3" motherboard connector. Will this be compatible with my motherboard thant has a 4 pin ATX connector on it?

most now have an 8 pin connector but usually splits in half to make it a 4 pin

yes it will i asked the same question the other day

got my new power pack the other day the 8 pin fited without any problem (mine never split in half) i just let it overhanging in a way
