Hi, you may of seen my thread that I just made to warn people that SFX PSUs have very short cables so aren't suitable for even micro ATX cases/mobo's but I presume aimed at ITX mobo's/cases.

NOW I need help to see if I can get hold of an ATX PSU complete cable set.

I've looked on Corsairs website but it gets confusing with the mention of "types" and "generations" of cables.

Please Help!

My new PSU that I require a cable set for is a Corsair SF600.

You need a specific set of cables for the SF600 psu as it's a brand new platform and other cables will probably not work with it. If you use the incorrect cables it could result in a major failure of your psu and/or other components. OCUK sells the correct ones for your psu:-

The prices are ridiculous though and almost the price of a new psu in the case of the full sets.

Have you thought about cable extensions? They work with all psu's as they just plug into the end of your existing cables and would be a much cheaper option. There is a vast assortment of colours to chose from and you just buy the cables that you actually need. There are no problems from using cable extensions and I have been using them for several years. See OCUK's range here.

Brilliant reply thank you!

Cable extensions sound a much cheaper option however I have very limited space in my case, especially behind the motherboard tray where I want to hide the cables.

So...I think I'm going to splash out on the starter pack, that's the Mobo, CPU and GPU cables. The Sata and Molex cables should reach, tidily, behind the Mobo as I only need 1 Sata and 2 Molex so I can use the plugs on the ends of the cables.

It's expensive but I get to keep my little PSU!
