Just tried upgrading my PC with a new socket 939 mobo and processor, but it won't power up. Looking at the instructions it would seem that i need an ATX12V connection from my power supply.

My power supply doesn't have an ATX12V 4-pin connector. Is this something new? Is it on all modern power supplies?

You can but tbh if your PSU is that old it doesn't have one I'd be concerned if it has enough power to be suitable for a modern rig, sorry if that sounds harsh but better than you checking after it goes pop :p

I don't think power is a concern. I have a 300w PSU and not running hugely draining components - AMD 3000+ Venice & a FX5200 graphics card (25 watts).
