NOOOOO! The A2 was a genuinely groundbreaking vehicle. It was genuinely light, properly uncompromisingly aerodynamic (to the point that it doesn't have a bonnet) and it was fugly because it made sense to the designers. It was Bauhaus - form following function. It may not have sold well, but it was a brave attempt at something that should have sold like hot cakes.

When is the TSFI model out? I imagine its just going to be an expensive version of the new Fabia VRS with the same engine but the A1 looks really nice and the Fabia is fugly

Agreed.
I'm a little surprised that Audi haven't thought of re-releasing the A2. They've already done the development work and testing, so I assume that they'd be able to avoid paying for the crash testing and similar. More to the point, they now have enough feedback and experience to sort out the crashy ride and minor electrical gremlins, resulting in a rather clever solution.

Of course they could take the accountant led option of stuffing out some humdrum re-hash of another existing car with some body panel chanes. Oh, hang on, that's what the A1 is...

I dont think the A2 actually made money when it was made.

That said I dont think they were even asking what they are for the A1 now.

I think they're all right. Solid enough but nothing special though, I'd rather have a Mini or a 500.
