We have a A4, 2006 2.0 TDi. The first week of January the car had a scheduled service.
A couple of days before the service there was a problem with the steering. When you wuld pull off, reverse and turn the wheels hard there was an initial screech/howel, this only happens at very low speeds. This have now progressed a a deep thud that that you can feel through the steering wheel, you can also hear it. Even in the passenger seat you can now feel the thud. This also is a "known" fault.
They have also said they have detected a known fault with the gearbox.
Does anyone have any ideas what these "known" faults are.
