My brother is looking at getting one, he has one on a weeks test drive at the moment

For me they are bland verging on ugly, 240bhp seems poor for a 3 litre TDi and I would guess they handle like most Audis

He seem very impressed with it though but I would imagine by the lack of them on the roads that they are not a great success

Just wondering what peoples perceptions of them are

I think he is going for the quattro s-line with the dual clutch gearbox, he hasn't mentioned colours though I have never been a fan of big cars in white

In that section of the market I'd be getting a CLS. The new one looks absolutely stunning.

The A7 looks looks nice from the front, but I'm struggling to see the thinking behind the rears lights on all the new Audi's. They look dated already.

I really like the A7 although I'm not sure why.
I'm sure it's as dull as dishwater to drive, but the interior is very nice and the quality of materials used is excellent.

However, I'd be looking at the CLS.
Or a 5 GT ;)

He doesn't seem to like the CLS and I don't think there is anyone left that doesn't know the 5GT is nasty in the extreme

MUST be white, also must be a diesel and to top it all off a convertible* ;)

*Yes I know they don't do a convertible

Could be wrong but I get the impression that Fox was being Cutty Sarky :)

That was the one I would go for but he needs a bit more practicaity and he says the rear seats still aren't really usable in that

I thought the 4 door was literally just released (if it's even out yet)? It's a cracking looking thing. I actually quite like the looks of the A7 too though, I may just be odd!

I'm not a fan of A7, front half looks fine but the rear is horrible IMO, trying to look like a CLS or something similar but fails.

I test drove one late last year, and to drive they aren't bad. Interior is very nice and there is a lot of space in them. It isn't particularly quick but being 4wd its got a lot of grip, gearbox is very good in the 7 speed DSG. Looks wise, I like the front but the rear quarter looks odd and the boot looks too wide and flat. You can get a lot of car for the money on the SE cars as they have deprecated massively since release.

For the sort of money they are you can buy a 3.0D XJ Portfolio.
