Audi owners in here!

Depends on the road but with it on sport mode it is comfortable enough for me without the run flat tyres that I was used to transmitting every little bump.
To be honest I just leave it in normal mode, even when driving fast it corners so well and flat that you would have to be pushing some ridiculous speeds to really need sport mode.

Are there particularly cheap deals going on with the latest S3 at the moment? I have seen an extremely high number of them on the roads in recent weeks.

Starting from £28k then, although even without that level of discount they start at £31k which for a brand new "performance" model of a car is a rather attractive price (didn't know they were that cheap!)

When I was looking at them you need to add about £3k's worth of basic options : DSG, cruise, auto lights/wipers, metallic paint to get the spec comparable to similar cars from VW, BMW and Mercedes.

Deals : S3 Sportback, 8k miles per year, 6+35 : £340 inc VAT per month

Lack of cruise is even more shocking than lack of auto wipers. American cars had it in the 1960s ffs! And you can go on ebay and find numerous £500 Saabs/Volvos which have it fitted.

Don't think I'd even consider a car at that budget without cruise, it's a must but paying extra seems a little ....

Wait what? I got 6.6% off list price. I got ripped off!

Actually, I don't care too much, they matched the lowest quote I got off car brokers.

Did you get quotes through CarWow? I've read that Coventry Audi give up to 11.7% off, although I believe that the discount % drops off if you start adding more optional extras.

That'll probably be why then. The car is discounted, not the options.

That's surprising though, when you think about it. Some of the options were purely cosmetic. For example, there's no way fitting a black grill on the front costs Audi more than fitting a chrome grill, but they charge nearly £400 extra for the privilege.

Picking up an 2011 A3 TDI black edition on Friday, looking online at information this version only come in start stop according to parkers, When test driving I couldn't see that it is, is there any quick way to check?

Not that it changes anything for me if it has it or not, just be nice to know if all of a sudden the engine just cuts at a sop.
