Audi owners in here!

Is there any difference between the 2.0T (170ps) and the 2.0T(200ps) apart from the power output? Is it easy enough the remap the 170 to 200?

Not according to any info I can find on either ETKA/ELSA or by asking people. Indeed the place I got mine (170) remapped, applied the map they usually use on the 200PS version, and explained how there were no technical differences.

If had my time again I would AVOID the B7 Audi A4 170 at all costs. I stupidly got rid of my B6 Avant for the above car and have regretted it ever since (just take a look at the Audi forums) Yeah it has all the bells and whistles but its not a patch on my B6 I didnt realize what I was giving up until it was gone.

DMF Issues?

No Oil pressure caused by a part that costs @ £2.50! driving a long the motorway in the outside lane at 70 bam! Car drops to limp mode 10mph in the blink of an eye. luckily managed to get to the hard shoulder. towed to nearby VAG garage and found that my turbo had blown, that plus other costs attributed to a total bill of over £1700.

Whilst Audi state that it is NOT a known fault with this model you will see that there are many, many owners who have had this fault disagree! I know one thing my next car will NOT be an Audi

Love this car, only had it just over a year and only drove it for 7 months :( cant wait to get back to it :D

If you were away from it for that lenght of time why didnt you just sell it, it'll be losing thousands of pounds sitting there doing nothing if its that new.

Would you sell your car if you were leaving it for a few months?

Didn't think so. ;) :D :p

If it was a 12 month old car without any personalised modifications then absolutely, because the proportion of value it'd lose over half a year or more would be huge. With a car so young there is no issue with finding another in perfect condition - most 12 month old cars are as new.

If it was much older or worth less then no.

Something like a 1 year old 2.0 TDI A4 could lose anything up to £5k over the space of 6 months!

I cant sell the car due to BFG the money i would have lost is nothing to the money i saved getting the vehicle tax free :D although may be selling it to upgrade to an avant model as i need more boot space.

What problems did you have?

Mine has cost £600 to repair just recently. New injector loom (After Audi dealer said it had changed the loom under recall along with the injectors) new fuel filter (oil leaking into the fuel system through the injector O rings and clogging up the the filter) and finally the rocker cover (cover and gasket being one unit that is really only a shot shot item, if you open it up you should change the cover/gasket). Mechanics first words having only been to Audi dealer since I've had it "I'm surprised this hasn't caught fire"

I've removed the DPF, EGR and EGR cooler and had the car mapped. When its working I think its great and its working at the moment. :)
