Audi owners in here!

So unavoidable pot holes are annoying - a £625 annoyance it turns out

Cheers. I've been in touch with Tetbury Audi who offered 3.2% off the spec I put in on Carwow.

Cheers for the advice. Yeah it's spec amendable. This is what he sent:

What is the exact spec that you are looking for? a 20%+ discount off the list price should be perfectly achievable on the A6 Avant currently so if that's 3.2% off list it's a pretty poor deal.

Even drive the deal and coast2coast were only quoting 4-5% off, must be an RS3 thing.

They can spec amend them as much as they want right up until the week before the "preparation" stage which is going to be a while off yet so i don't know what he is on about saying it cant be changed when its "confirmed".

A lot of people had grief with this when the price and the base spec went up last October as spec changes triggered the increase in price. Even then though the dealer could ring Audi UK and get round it.

Oops I got confused between 2 different posters (jbs and S2KIP) and thought he was looking at an A6. Completely different situation if he's after an RS3!

a 7% discount should still be achievable though:

With options that site shows a price similar to what Tetford have offered me.

I'm not sure then either, all I know is what salesmen tell me and what's said in here. Last time I ordered a new car was over 10 years ago.

I've been using the order tracker on YourAudi - can anyone tell me why pressing F5 all the time doesn't make your car get built quicker? :(

Might be a silly question. I've never had a car on PCP before, but can you get PCP on a less than 1 year old used car? Or is it generally just used for brand new ones. Looking to get either a new A4 Avant, or a used A6.

Yes, you can. But typically the rates are crap and they hope you don't notice by pretending only monthly payments matter.

Bit harsh, probably hateful because its a 1.6TDI. Horrible engines...

I have the 1.6TDI in my A3 and as a manual it really isn't too bad. The A1 however is cramped, hard to see out off, the dashboard is horrible and makes no sense. The Bluetooth doesn't even work.

May have been nicer had it been a manual as the Auto is awful paired with the 1.6 TDI.

The interior in my sister's 2010 Polo and my mother's 2010 Corsa are much nicer places to be. Genuinely can't think of a car in a similar price bracket new I wouldn't prefer to have over the A1.

You must have got a bad car then. Bluetooth was always flawless to me and I much prefer the interior when compared to a Polo or Corsa.

The 2.0TDI (140ps) was also far better than the 1.6TDI. A lot more refined and obviously powerful.

Still miss it now and then. :o

I had the 1.4TFSI A1 and thought it was brilliant, but then I'd only driven Ford diesel boxes up to that point.

Bought an S1, loved it and became poor from putting fuel in it.

Now on an A3 2.0TDI. Meh. It's alright.
