Audi owners in here!

Nah, definitely happier to have an "S3 exclusive" colour over one that could be specced on Sport or S-Line. Don't want people confusing it for a 1.4 Cylinder-on-Demand now do I :p

People with the Matrix LED Lights... do you find that they're a bit slow dipping with oncoming traffic sometimes? I stick them in Auto and im finding a few people are flashing at me... I know LEDs can be bright to certain people and they just think you have your beams on but they do seem a little slow to react?? do I just need to clean the screen a bit??

I swear this S3 Saloon is cursed.

First I go down on Sunday to sign, but Audi's finance systems are down. Now I've gone to collect the car at my handover time (13:00) and the governments "First Registration" service is down (and apparently has been for two days), so they can't tax my car (and ultimately can't do the handover).

Annoyed that I got no call about this, given the issue was clearly known about!

Looks like you'll be getting another free umbrella or coolbox or something then right?

Pretty poor service really, especially after spending £££££s on a brand new car.

My time and being mucked about is worth more than an overpriced key ring. Get them to give you something actually worth something. I got a massive discount on the GAP, tyre and alloy insurance and it wasn't like their service was wanting in any way.

Indeed. Thought I might as well try a different car, they were going to put me in a pre-facelift S3, but I've driven one of those already.

So, hairdresser for a day/two suits me just fine :p

I've already had the allow wheel protection thrown in for free due to the last "administrative **** up" on Sunday, GAP is already sorted through ALA, as Audi prices are lol.

Might try for the first service thrown in or something.

It's difficult to play the "wasted time" card, as I can see the dealership from my office window :)

Haha, well don't tell them that :D

I negotiated 2 free services and an mot (when it was due) when I bought my S5 and the dealer made an admin mistake.

Don't ask etc...

Having a tough time choosing between Daytona Grey and Manhattan Grey for my A4 Avant. I've seen both in the showroom and they look great. I'm leaning towards Manhattan since I've had two light/medium grey cars in the past.

Does anyone have any experience with Manhattan Grey? Is it as bad as black to keep looking nice?

EDIT: Even if it is difficult to clean, I am sold on Manhattan Grey :)

I do love Daytona, but that looks lovely also. No wonder you're having a hard time choosing. Is Manhattan a pearl or just a metallic? One of the main reasons I loved my Daytona Grey A6 was the purple and green flecks in the paint that sparkled in the sunlight!

In other news, the 250 mile old TTS that I'm in is a very nice drive on smooth surfaces, but not so hot when things get bumpy, very VERY crashy ride. Even going over the speed bumps into works carpark at <5mph meant that the wife left her seat :D It does however make a very nice noise for a 2.0 litre 4-banger, and shifts some (and I've not even given it the full beans due to it still being in it's run-in period).

Manhattan is a metallic colour. The only pearl colour in the range is Daytona Grey. I honestly like them both, but it would be nice to have a slightly darker shade for a change. I am going to keep the car for at least 5 years so I need a colour that's going to stand the test of time.

I'm all for a dark colour (as they are the most rewarding to clean/polish/wax), but that said, I never felt disheartened with Daytona in the same way I did with my Silver A4.

Go with your gut, Manhattan is likely to be the rarer colour as Daytona has been available on damn-near the entire range for the best part of 10 years now!
