As our family is ever growing, the S4 is just not big enough for everyone, unfortunately. I don't want to sell it, so it looks like I'll be looking at an addition somewhere along the line. If I can work out quite how... anyway, I'm looking at the possibility of Q7s.

I like my audis, I don't mind the Q7 and it's large with 7 seats possible as well as things like leather and all that jazz.

What are the best ones to go for? 3.0? 4.2? TDi I'd imagine I'd go for this time. Anyone have one and share any stories of joy?

I'm aware it's not going to set the world alight, but you know. :p
 
Out of interest, are you purchasing in the UK or in France?
Do you need a bit 4x4, or will something like a 7-seat Volvo or Mercedes do?

Merc R Class have depreciated horribly, meaning you can get them for not very much and they come dripping with space and spec.
If purchasing LHD, have a look at E320CDI 4-Matic with 7 seats.

Good questions! I shall be buying in the UK and 4WD is pretty important as I spend a lot of time in the mountains and rwds are dicey in the winter up there!
 
Detest the looks of the Q7 and the majority I've encountered seem to be driven by idiots!
That said, I'd gladly have the V12 Tdi variant, had an extended blast in one a while back and it was simply stunning!

I guess the 4.2 would be a more sane compromise though!
 
I bought 7 seat x5 when I had similar requirements, i didn't gel with the Audi personally but I am a bit of a bm fanboy. Have been delighted with the x5 now a year and a half in.
 
I'm going to have to do a comparison of them I think on paper and try and take some for a spin.

I'd love the V12 Q7 but I don't think they did it in the UK. :(

I think they did offer it for sale in the UK but I don't think they sold any :p

Buy one in Germany and import it?
If you're worried about high French tax or whatever, stick it on UK plates.

They did sell the v12 in the uk but it was north of £100k

Did t sell too many and was quietly dropped last year
 
That would be it then! Haha no wonder they didn't bloody sell many...
