Look on the bright side, I give you something to constantly dig at and whinge about - because it's clearly far more fun for you to just sit in this forum and pick at everything I say rather than actually post useful stuff.

Still, on the bright side at least you've matured 5 years since your last post - accusing me of 'speak some crap man' is at least a little more intelligent than calling me 'ghey'.

Fact is if leather is properly looked after there is no reason for it to show significant signs of wear before very high mileages.

Oops, yes, quite correct. A3 was first out in '96, S3 210bhp in '99 and S3 225bhp in 2001.
 
I've seen plenty of BM's with leather interiors that have done 50-60K, and they also look pretty shagged..

As for the outstanding finance, I've bought a bike with outstanding finance, but only after seeing the settlement letter, and making my draft out to the finance company, as well as his draft (owed more then the bike was worth).. I then posted the letter, and phoned the finance company etc until they confirmed the finance was paid off, although officially the only deal with the customer, a bit of sweet talking goes a long way... I accepted this level of risk, but I was pretty nervous for a week!!!

ya wha? :( I just find myself getting annoyed at everythin he says lol... if a mate annoyed me i'd say the same thing, I don't see how it was an insult or anything... but seriously for him to say leather seats won't show wear at 80k is ridiculous. But then again he does buy cars that do 20k a day on the motorway whilst his backside gets heated up by his seat.

That's the thing though, who say's it's been properly looked after? It looks by no means BAD. It certainly wouldn't put me off buying the car as with a bit of TLC you could get it looking better.

The passenger side bolster on my GTi6 has a little wear (odd that the passenger side has but the drivers hasn't, maybe it's because the driver knows about it and is careful not to scrape against it etc), it had it when I bought it, it just lacks a little TLC, it buy no means put me off buying or for one minute suggests that it's been clocked (rest of the condition and the MOTs confirm this). Peugeot probably use cheap leather i.e from a dog or something though :o
 
I'm a little suprised that cars with 100k that have gone through normal use (i.e mixed of both motorway and town driving) should have immaculate looking leather seats etc.

fox is right. i would expect immaculate leathers p to at least 100K, if not then i would take that as a sign that the car had not been well maintained.

I have seen cars with shagged leathers at 30K and others looking absolutly mint at 50K.

the state of the leather i believe indicates the state of the mechanics...because leather is easy to look after if you want to look after it.

save the trolling for somewhere else please.
 
No offence but thats a NO SWEARING. READ THE FAQ - Rilot deal, the amount he owes will be between 7-9k (probably inbetween) and its had 5 owners.

There was a black one for sale, 75k miles all the features that one has + DIS and better condition with two owners and born in 2001 for 11k. Hunt around, thats not worth it.

Because he makes out like EVERY CAR in the whole wide world should have immaculate seats at a ridiculous amount of miles. He seems to think having a car with high mileage will solve every problem in the world.

Yes, in some cases high mileage car's are advantageous. However only in some cases. Yes, your average fleet car owned by an exec who cares little for the car and ambles down the motorway will generally have OK seats at a high mileage. However, they've still been sat in, the controls have still been abused... and TBH the 'exec' who owns the car will probably not care for it that much. Your kidding yourself if you think they sit there thinking 'oh my fox might buy my car after so I'm going to make sure that I keep it at a nice RPM at 70 in the outside lane of the motorway, oh and when I get in and out of the car i'l make sure I'm very careful'. Yeah Right - in the vast majority of cases I bet they're treated the same as your percieved perception of every low mileage car... completly abused on the motorway, doors slammed on the way out. Hell, I bet the guy who owned your barge fox boned his missus every night on that seat you sit in.
