Audigy 1 or Onboard 8.1

Having upgraded my computer im wondering if the onboard sound card outclasses my SB Audigy 1 card

Ive got a Gigabyte P965-DS3 board with the onboard 8.1 realtek card.

Is that faster than my separate Audigy 1?
