Audigy 2 and Medusa 5.1 connections??

I have had my medusa 5.1 for a while and decided to buy a second hand Audigy 2 soundcard. All drivers downloaded and card works fine but...
I cannot figure out (no instructions) what colour jack plugs from my medusa connect to what colour holes on my soundcard. I plugged them in colour to match colour but the 5.1 is not as even as it should be. and yes it is set to 5.1 in control panel settings. I have my mic working fine but not everything else. I have searched to no avail.

I don't have an Audigy 2 but have you tried plugging in each connector one by one and noting down where abouts in the headphones you hear the sound (ie front, center or rear) and then plug in the connections according to that.

Hope that helps :)

Ok mate, just checked mine and if your looking at the card with the firewire to the left then working from the first input left to right it goes blue green then red, then you've only got the mic to plug in then done,

let us know how you get on, I was well impressed with the medusas, I heard sounds in bf2 that I never knew were there.

Thanks that works great Turtle3. The reason I did not want to try the swapping plugs around was I once shorted a mobo doing that. My own fault of course :(
BTW the sound is excellent and your right about BF2 tottaly differant compared to my onboard sound.

No probs mate, yeah the sound in bf2 is miles better, I remember lying down by a rubbish skip in the game and I could hear this buzzing all around my head, thought something was wrong untill I realised it was infact the sound of fly,s buzzing all around the rubbish heap, when I looked closer I could see em aswell, Makes me wonder what these new x-fi cards are like, apparantly they are supposed to be loads better than the audigy, Im still pondering getting one only as my audigy is having conflicts in bf2, but its hard to see how the sound can get much better IMO.

The[/url] 5.1 Sound Blaster cards include Sound Blaster Audigy, Sound Blaster Live! 5.1, Sound Blaster Audigy LS, Sound Blaster Live! etc. The compatible speakers are 5.1 speakers from Creative Labs or others.

There are 3 analog Line Out jacks on these cards. All of these jacks are standard mini stereo jacks (3-pole). The Line Out 1 is for sending out Front Right and Front Left, Line-Out 2 is for sending Rear Right and Rear Left signals, and Line Out 3 is for sending out Front Center, Subwoofer signals.

The Line Out 3 is also doubled as a Digital Out jack for connecting to external digital device such as a Dolby Digital Receiver, or a Speaker system with a Digital Input.
