Audigy 2 causing Xubuntu to not boot?

Ok, I install Xubuntu with nothing but a GFX and wifi card in my system.

Worked perfectly. I put in an Audigy 2 I had today, and it will no longer boot. Anyone else had this?

What cards are known to work well with Linux? I've got a few M-audio cards but these may be considered quirky as they aren't common (delta 44 and quattro).

Mine used to work fine.

Be a bit clearer about how its not booting, and hopefully I or someone else will be able to help.

It seem to be unable to find the hard drive with the Audigy 2 in threre.

I'm going to try a different PCI slot and see if that helps at all...
