Audigy 2 SE Line In Question

Hi guys I've not been able to find this anywhere on these forums or any other forums as a matter of fact

And I'm sorry if it sound like a stupid question, but I've heard conflicting answers

Basically I'm going to try and record my guitar through the line-in (mic) port on my sound card, I've done it before and it didn't work too well but I fidured out why and decided I needed to buy somethin else to make it work.

Now my question is, is the line in-port on the Audisy 2 SE mono or stereo?

See because I assumed this was just for microphones, and I would have thought a microphone jack was mono, not stereo?

Right thanks a lot for the advice OzZie

And I never knew that the mic and the line-in were actually two separate ports, that does help things a lot though because I was going to try and get an adaptor which allowed me to plug the guitar jack into the line-in port, but now I know the mic is a separate one and is mono I won't have to

And yeah I planned on downloading those ASIO drivers anyway because when I was recording with my mate he said that you get a lot more latency if you use the bog standard Audigy drivers for recording.

Just got to get used to using Guitar Tracks Pro now
