Audigy 2 value better then on board sound?

Yes, it should be. I noticed a decent improvement when I upgraded to an Audigy 2 - mostly in reduced noise levels and an overall clearer sound.
 
Depends on the motherboard. I wasn't that impressed when I tested an old Audigy 2 ZS recently (after upgrading from one 2 1/2 years ago to an X-Fi). I'd have gone for the onboard on my P5Q-Deluxe over it.
 
Standard P5Q has the Realtek ALC1200 onboard while the Deluxe has ADI AD2000B. You could try searching for ALC1200 to see what people think of it.
 
in theory would remove another process from your cpu so im keeping mine for now
dont know if its better than onboard of newer mobos but is better than my asus p5w deluxe
