Audigy 2 ZS or onboard sound (Asus P5K-E)?

Whats best to use my old ZS or the onboard?

For gaming and general use.

Unless you've got digital speakers with hardware decoding.

But analog onboard still sounds quite bad compared to the average SB.

Hell, even my Audigy SE sounds better than the normall p5b deluxe rubbish.

Mr Paul i have exactly the same board and cpu as you and got myself an Aud2 ZS recently, after doing some tests i can tell you that not only is the sound better but for gaming youl save up to 10% of your primary CPU cores performance during gaming as its no longer processing for the onboard audio chip which is a nice little bonus.
