Yup, go for the X-Fi OEM, and you can also use the front bay from your audigy from it. ( You wont be able to use the firewore port tho unless you connect it to a mobo header )

I have seen Blaster X-Fi OEM for £126 including delivery , is that a good price :)

Which model?

The normal one from ocuk is £58. A retail one with the front panel is also less than £100

Also, watch out getting OEM X-Fi off the bay, as a lot of them are dell models and are not full X-Fi cards with some decoders missing.

Hmm, not bad, but id remove that link asap as its a competitor ;)

personally id spend the extra £15 and get ne from ocuk, or the extra £25 and get some free decent headphones :)

Or if you want the front panel, get the £58 one and hook your existing panel up to it

Sounds daft (pardon ze pun) but how much power consumption does the X-Fi OEM use? (As my PSU aint the biggest)

Been thinking of getting a dedicated soundcard, just not sure which one and how much.

£60 is a lot, but my last SB cost more than that and lasted my 3 full computer upgrades.

Yeah it is, not sure how close am running to the wire with it.

PS: Whats the difference between OEM & retail, what do i get for the extra £20?

Cheers.

I think so. Is there a mistake on that page though? Both versions (with and without headset) cost £78.67, or do you have to add the headset to that? Otherwise the choice is obvious.

No, HP's are chucked in.

Maybe OC realised no one was buying the retail (and for good reason, £20 for a box) so they through in some headphones which probably cost them £10, but retail at £30, making the pack look buy-worthy again.

SC-034-CL is there for those who are too thick for free headphones ;) (its why i checked!) hehe.,
