Hi,
I am trying to update the sound card drivers to try and resolve a sound quality problem when recording tv using my Leadtek WinFast TV 2000xp Expert.( I am getting a faint but audible high pitched noise on playback)

Using the automated update off the Creative site, but it gets to the 'Uninstall current drivers?' stage and then hangs.

If I delete the drivers manually before running the update the card is not detected.

I've tried the automatic process on the Creative website and it always hangs on me, without fail. I try both IE and Firefox each time but it never works. Which is why I download the drivers manually and install them myself.;)

Thanks . . . that is what I have done in the past, but the drivers only seem to be available in the .exe file. Can I extract the files needed from this, without running it?

Yep, get WinRar or 7Zip and then right click on the exe file and you should have an extract to folder option. Unpack the exe to a folder and then go to the Device Manager and just tell the sound card where to find the drivers and it should install the drivers without you having to run the exe file.

Brilliant . . . sorted, thanks! :)

Where can I go to get the drivers that came supplied on the CD with the Audigy card? It is from an old machine that I recently re-formatted and no longer have the original CD with the sound card drivers. Driving me mad trying to find them :(

www.creative.com

I have gone there, but they dont seem to have the driver available to download as is on the original CD, but they seem to have almost everything else. There must be somewhere that lets you download it all, as it would be a very big file
