Can you bunch of very nice people tell me about the Audigy 4 soundcard?

In other words

Is it better then onboard sound?

Does it work with vista 64 bit? As I heard about the Xf-i not working correctly

I mostly have music on 24/7 but also game a little bit

Thanks very much

i think your best bet is to ask someone on the creative site m8,they have had problem's with the card's on vista but not sure what card's are affected.

my audigy2 (pretty much identical to the 4 i think) works fine in vista 64. but i use the x-fi drivers because i get much better sound quality for my music. :)

i download the official x-fi driver file from creative. use winrar to unpack it. inside is a folder called setup. now run setup.exe from within that folder. sorted.

Thanks. That's a real good tip, think I'll try that for my audigy 2.

x-fi drivers for which x-fi model? ;) cause im getting an 'No supported device found'

Look in the extracted creative folder for the 'driver' folder then in there are 2 folders, open the one with xf in it's name and run the setup.exe in there. Hope that makes sense.

got that far :) the only driver type it ll let me install is WDM though. that right? seems a bit odd to me
